Experience: Charleston's The Spectator Hotel
There's few things I love more in life than my new husband; a luxe king sized bed, no animals to wake me up in the middle of the night, free champagne, and soaker tub. Oh, and now Butler service.
Our post-wedding stay at The Spectator Hotel was nothing short of, well, SPECTacular. We arrived in our rented 1957 Bentley (hey, it was our wedding night, forgive us for being so extra) and were created with a welcome cocktail (which we didn't need) and escorted to our room with our "butler", who explained the room and space to us.
Funky jazz played as we entered the room and got acclimated and poured champagne that we also didn't need. Hot showers and cozy robes later we zonked out to awake the following morning, by the butler, bringing us our breakfast in bed. No awkward morning cafe or rush to the continental buffet at this retreat - just fresh pours and the most delicious pastry basket, that changed daily. Z's favorite, though, had tobe the grapefruit brulee, a delicious breakfast treat perfectly prepared.
A daily chocolate treat on the mini bar (all items are included in your stay - no hidden fees required!) alongside a handwritten weather report card for the day ahead had us prepared for what was to come. With temps inthe 80s we took full advantage of the complimentary bikes and biked around the city and even to our Morning After brunch.
