Making Friends and Flowers with PeerSpace
I'm a total San Francisco Newb. We moved here with just a few contacts, and none in fashion for me. I felt like I did when I first moved to DC; nervous to go to my first event and wondering if people would be nice, if I'd have enough to drink to be able to talk to strangers, and if I'll even like the people or feel like an outcast.
This past Saturday I hopped in an Uber to the Peerspace home that was the event location just a few blocks away (I'm still getting used to these hills guys!) and walked into the most beautiful, creative home with VIEWS. I grab a One Hope cocktail by The Shared Sip and make my way around the party looking for something to occupy my time until the liquor hits my nerves. I made a flower crown with the Le Bouquet SF, and drank my first Kombucha (late to the game, I know).

Maybe it's the chill west coast vibes, or the open air, or even the transient nature of San Francisco ensuring that everyone has been in the newbie shoes at one point, but people were friendly. The host of the party, Julia O Test, was someone I had not yet met in real life but we'd been instagram chatty for the few weeks I'd been in the city. This sweetheart took the time to introduce me to some other bloggers and creatives and kept checking back in with me. I met some wonderful new people, from jewelry designers, to models, to bloggers, to just people who enjoy being in the creative circle. I stayed past the end of the event just caught up in chatting with new friends and feeling welcomed all around.
After my first event, it's safe to say that 1, the creative of The Bay are much more welcoming and friendly than past cities I've lived in and 2, you really can't beat the whether or the views here!
