Roadtripping with the NEW Mazda CX-5
Disclaimer: this post is in partnership with Mazda. All Opinions are my own.
When I found out that I would be taking the NEW Mazda CX-5 on a test drive for a week I truly did not know what to expect. My sister drives a Mazda, but save for a quick ride from the airport to my parents' house in New England I've never actually been in a Mazda car. I knew very little about them; Japanese manufacturing, entry level but could be luxury with upgrades, and that's about it. After a week with the CX-5, though, I can honestly say that I'm considering this for our next car!
We've always been the kind of family who loves a big sporty car; behind my sartorially inclined facade is an outdoorsy former Girl Scout who loves to go hiking or spend a weekend in a woodsy cabin. But what I love about the Mazda CX-5 is that, not only is it a rugged SUV on the outside, but the inside is just as luxurious as I like to pretend my life is. Soft leather seats, Bose brand sound system, heated seats (yes, even in the back!), heated steering wheel, and a heads up display - meaning I didn't even have to take my eyes off the road to ensure my jamming out wasn't leading me to speeding!
We had this gorgeous red (or, in Mazda's terms, "Soul Red") for a week and I honestly feel like a convert. This was such smooth ride, roomie enough for over packers like ourselves, and with amazing safety features that proves this might need to be our future forever car.
Do you have a Mazda or have you ever test driven one?
