Simple & Affordable Kitchen Upgrade
When we moved from our home that we owned in DC to our tiny SF rental, one thing that was hardest for us was the inability to customize. I came from custom painting and DIY projects to standardized cabinets that I’d probably lose my security deposit if I painted. Moving in I had visions of wallpapering walls, upgrading light fixtures, and putting as many holes in the walls as it took to hang all of our precious art. My husband made the rational suggestion not to do TOO many semi-permanent changes, but a year in to our time here I decided to forego his advice and do some small simple upgrades to our kitchen island.
While hubs was visiting family for a week on the East Coast I ordered fresh island gubi chairs and some marble contact that matched our counter tops. I spent a few days building the chairs, lining up and adhering the contact paper, and then relishing in the final product. Scroll below to see the process and shop my Interior Style!
