Experience: Hotel Petaluma

It was a rainy February evening as we arrived into Petaluma; dodging the pouring rain to make our way into the glamorous lobby of the Hotel Petaluma. We were welcomed into their warm space, fire roaring across the lobby, wedding to our right, wine and cheese tasting to our left, the entire atrium area alive with happy, beautiful people.
We made ourselves at home, taking in the scene from the mezzanine. I’m a big people watcher, so it was the perfect place to watch the mingling couples, groups of friends, and bridal party form above (with wine of course!)
One of the best things about Hotel Petaluma was that you need not have to leave the hotel your entire stay, unless you wanted to! With Barber Cellars winery and The Shuckery for seafood and meals, as well as the complimentary breakfast, it was hard to want to leave our comfortable Hotel and brave the windy wet weather for something new. Needless to say, the bartender at The Shuckery and the Sommelier at Barber Cellars became our weekend friends.
While we were in Petaluma to imbibe in the local wine country, Hotel Petaluma become our home away from home - our perfect prancing grounds for exploring everything from downtown Petaluma to the sprawling neighboring towns in Sonoma county.
The hospitality can’t be beat, so if you’re looking for a lovely place to stay in Sonoma County or more specifically, Petaluma, I highly recommend Hotel Petaluma.
