If you’re not new here, then you know I love a good bargain. I hardly ever pay full price for anything, including designer handbags. So when it comes time for the endlessss holiday parties (not to mention my husband’s birthday, my birthday, my father’s, and many friends’), I head straight to Goodwill to stock up on affordable and stylish dresses for the season!
This year I’ve put together three very different looks to help you through the holiday season.
The First: The Classic Christmas Party
For this I bought this Jessica Simpson pleated chiffon dress from Goodwill, paired it with these pointed silver White House Black Market pumps, also from Goodwill, and a shiny little minaudière. Easy, breezy, beautiful…Holiday Ready.
Second: The Trendy & Non-Denominational
Whenever I’m going to a Holiday party that’s not strictly Christmas I like to play up the other colors of the season. Lending homage to Channukah, this velvet blue jumpsuit I found at Goodwill is the perfect trendy piece to wear once, and again and again. Paired with some burgundy booties (Forever 21, from Goodwill as well!) for some contrast and you’re ready to party the night away!
Third: The Holiday-slash-New Years Party
For the all wrapped into one cute package with perfect tinsel and ribbon, you have to go with sequins. The more sequins the merrier! I picked up this pink/rose gold sequin top at Goodwill to pair with this black sequin skirt found there. Tossed on some velvet booties (these are mine, but I’ve seen some at my local SF Goodwill too!) and I was ready to hop a cap and drink champagne like it’s my birthday!
