The Best Dog Friendly Wineries in Northern California

The Best Dog Friendly Wineries in Northern California

If you don’t already know, my dog is basically my best friend. I love bringing him everywhere with me, and thankfully San Francisco is superrr dog friendly. We’re constantly going to breweries, dive bars, shopping trips, hair salons, and hanging out in the off-leash parks.

That being said, I’ve made the rounds to some very dog-friendly wineries and vineyards and I’m here to share my top FIVE with you!

Let’s start with number one, which is the main image from this post, Gloria Ferrer, which is top of this list because when you get a flight, your dog gets a flight too! Just look at that tasting of treats! We were able to give one to Butch with each wine we had! Those helped keep him happy and calm, not to mention the older gentleman at the table next to us feeding him breadsticks.

Rivino Winery - a top dog friendly winery in California

Next up, just down the rode is Viansa; this dog friendly spot has the most GORGEOUS setting, a delicious pizza oven that makes tasty flatbreads, and of course, some great wine! Butch had such a lovely time wandering the vineyards here, as did I!

Moving slightly farther north towards Potter Valley, I had a lovely time at Rivino with my pooch after a day of hiking and a quick outfit change for wine tasting. The winery’s own pooch is a charming little Bichon Frisse who was so sweet to our big Butch the whole time. That, coupled with the family run service and the champagne literally called “Boujjie” makes this a top pick in my book!

The next winery has not only one, not only two, but THREE dogs on the property. That means, when you bring yours everyone has some one to play with! Larson Family Winery is exactly what it sounds like - family friendly fun for everyone including corn hole, horse shoes, and dog friends! I also love that they have cheese and crackers to buy for when you need a snack.

Lastly, Scribe Winery has a great youthful atmosphere and plenty of pooches to pet or play with, even for yours! With gorgeous setting and great wine, this venue is reservations only but totally worth it!
