Always Something to Celebrate
There's always something to celebrate, a reason to be happy and joyous.
Today, I'm celebrating 6 months in San Francisco, complete with balloons and a picnic in front of the iconic Painted Ladies. It's hard to believe I've only been here this short of a time; like my friend Julia has said, it's like I was a Native Sf-Ian who's finally come "home". While no place could ever replace NYC in my heart and soul, I can't help but agree that San Francisco seems to be right where I belong. I love this city; I love the creative people who always have this air of confidence, like they're so comfortable in themselves and how they portray themselves. There's no need for falsities or aggrandizations here. I love the weather, especially in my temperate neighborhood of The Mission. I love the food, always creative (and surprisingly affordable). I love my new friends, and can't wait to show my old friends this wondrous place.
